## A Christmas card that unfolds into something special

Make Christmas greetings a little more memorable with this beautifully layered **7" × 7" W card with front V panel**, created by **Angie Davis for AngiesHappyHobby**.

This unusual Christmas card combines delicate blue and white floral artwork with a spectacular dimensional pink poinsettia.

The W-card construction creates several layers across the front, with framed floral panels arranged to give the design depth and movement. The front V panel provides the main focal point, bringing the large pink poinsettia forward from the surrounding artwork.

### The beauty is in the layers

From the front, the card has an elegant floral appearance.

Look a little closer and the construction reveals itself.

Blue and white flowers fill the background, complemented by botanical leaves and delicate winter foliage. Dark framing around the individual panels provides definition, while the large pink poinsettia adds a wonderful burst of colour and dimension.

The **“Happy Christmas”** sentiment completes the design without overwhelming the floral artwork.

## A little note from Angie

I wanted this card to have something a little different about it.

Rather than simply placing a Christmas image onto a flat card, the W-card construction allows the floral artwork to unfold across several panels, with the dimensional poinsettia becoming the centrepiece.

The result is a Christmas card that's as much about the **way it is constructed and displayed** as it is about the artwork itself.
